Arizona Drowned LIU Before Halftime Was Over

Brayden Burries hit 4-of-5 from three in the first half as the Wildcats built a 24-point lead by the break and never looked back in a 92-58 blowout.

Burries finished with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting, knocking down four threes in 28 minutes before the game was long decided. He did not need to create off the dribble or manufacture shots -- Arizona's pace and spacing gave him clean looks, and he punished every one.

Ivan Kharchenkov added 14 points and 10 rebounds, three of them offensive, going 5-of-7 from the field in 26 minutes. He and Koa Peat, who grabbed three offensive boards of his own, gave Arizona a second-chance presence that LIU had no answer for.

Arizona outrebounded LIU 52-31 and held a 16-to-12 edge on the offensive glass, turning those extra possessions into a shooting advantage that made the final score look earned rather than flukey.
